1. Who are the artists, producer and director behind it?

Artist- Benny Benassi and Chris Brown

Producer- Benny Benassi and Alle Benassi

Director- Daniel CZ

2. What's the record label?

Record Label- Ultra Records

3. Who are the target audience?

People who like Chris Brown and people who like dance music
as it has a good beat and would probably be used in a club.

4. Is there a narrative? If so, what’s the story?

I think the narrative is that Chris Brown is going to see a
girl in paradise but she is going to go but he is trying to make her stay and
thinks its paradise when he is with her.

5. Describe some of the cinematography; including camera
work, editing, filters & special effects.

There are lots of different camera shots, at the beginning
there is an establishing shot of the beach and sea, close ups of Chris Brown,
Benny Benassi and the girls and there are also body shots and long shots. Most
of the transitions are cuts and there aren’t really any filters due to the sun

6. Describe the mis-en-scene- costume, lighting, make-up,
props, acting.

The costumes are simple clothing as the men are wearing
t-shirts, shorts, hats and sunglasses. There are also girls who are wearing
bikinis. The main props used are the bikes, gazebos, beach balls. Lighting is
coming for the sun for the video. The acting is limited but there are girls
looking “sexy” of the beach miming and also girls at the end dancing at the
party.

7. What make it successful?

The music video is successful as it links with the title
“Paradise” this is because of the sunny weather, beautiful beach and hot girls
which are most people’s idea of paradise.

Kid Ink - Promise ft. Fetty Wap Music Video Research

1. Who are the artists, producer and director behind it?

Artist- Kid Ink and Fetty Wap.

Producer- DJ Mustard and Twice as Nice.

Director- Mike Ho.

2. What's the record label?

Record Label- Tha Alumni Music Group, 88 Classic, RCA Records

3. Who are the target audience?

The target audience are teenagers and a person who likes rap
as it is a song with a good beat to it which makes you want to dance yet there
are still elements of rap in it.

4. Is there a narrative? If so, what’s the story?

Kid Ink attempts to plan a surprise wedding for his boo while
battling tabloid fodder, which irks his girlfriend-- nothing is what it seems
at surface level. There's a happy ending though, including a wedding party.

5. Describe some of the cinematography; including camera
work, editing, filters & special effects.

They use MID SHOTS, CLOSE UPS, ESTABLISHING SHOT, EYE LEVEL,
and LOW ANGLE SHOTS. They use fade and mainly cut transitions. There was a
filter when the wedding was happening making it look lighter.

6. Describe the mis-en-scene- costume, lighting, make-up,
props, acting.

The costumes are very casual and are what you would normally
wear if you were just going out and then at the wedding Kid Ink wears a gold
suit and the girl is wearing a wedding dress with everyone else in smart
clothing. Most of the lighting is from the sun but there is light in the
background when Kid Ink and Fetty Wap do their solo. The main props are the
cars, TV and wedding set.

7. What make it successful?

It’s successful as it’s very bright so it isn’t depressing
and at the end there is a bit of comedy with the guy singing at the wedding.
